RESUME
I recently obtained my PhD in economics from ULB and I will stay in my alma mater for a few more months as postdoctoral researcher at ECARES. I will be working with Paula Gobbi on the role of inheritance customs for the demographic transitions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
From a broader perspective, my research covers topics in labor and public economics, with a special focus on the impact of public policies on work and family decisions. I am trained as an applied economist, who uses both natural experiments and RCTs.
"I am mostly interested in questions with a micro foundation, but my first ever publication is a Stata Journal article in which I developed a routine to automatically import data and produce GDP forecasts. My main motivation being that I wanted to spend the least possible amount of time working on this."
