RESUME

Mingyan Tong is a PhD researcher in Leadership and Diversity at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, Université libre de Bruxelles. Her doctoral research examines how leadership perceptions are formed and how minority candidates are judged in leadership selection contexts. In particular, she investigates whether expressing a strong leader identity can help minority candidates challenge stereotypes and gain greater support for leadership roles. Before joining ULB, Mingyan completed a Master’s degree in International Management at Toulouse School of Management (University Toulouse 1 Capitole). Prior to starting her PhD, Mingyan worked as a recruitment consultant in an international executive search firm, where she developed expertise in talent evaluation, labor market analysis, and hiring processes.
