RESUME
Jean Baptiste Aboyitungiye is a PhD candidate in Economics and Management at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. He is a graduate in Economics and Development Studies from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sebelas Maret (Indonesia). He is currently a Research Economist at the Banque de la République du Burundi (Central Bank of Burundi), where he occupy a research economist position. He also serves as a Visiting Lecturer at Université du Burundi and Bujumbura International University, where he teaches courses in monetary economics and general economics. His doctoral research at ULB/CEBRIG focuses on informality and its effects on financial development, financial inclusion, and monetary policy in Burundi.
